Leave before earn-out completes
On Growth or Scale, buy out the code any month: (months remaining) × the per-month rate above, minimum £299. No earn-out to buy out of on Foundation, but you always keep your domain, accounts, and content, whenever you leave, on any tier.
After the earn-out
Stay on Hosting-only at £75/month (hosting, monitoring, backups), and we keep the lights on. Or take the code and self-host. Either way, no exit fee.
What transfers is the complete application source of your site as deployed, as a non-exclusive licence for any template-derived portions (the underlying template continues to be used for other clients). Our backend automations, integrations, and provisioning tooling stay with us. You walk away with a working website you can host anywhere. Applies to sites IDS built (Category B). If your site already existed when we took it over, you already own it and there is no earn-out to begin with.

What counts as a critical issue
A critical issue is the site being down or unreachable, enquiry or checkout forms not working, or a security vulnerability being actively exploited. Slow performance, cosmetic faults, and content requests are not critical issues.

Pause instead of cancel
Need a break? You can pause your plan instead of cancelling. Email us and we will pause billing for up to 3 months while your site stays live. Billing resumes automatically at the end of the pause window unless you cancel.

What does IDS do, and how is it different from Doman Digital?
IDS runs and improves your website every month on a subscription: hosted, watched, secured, and improved. If you already own a site, we run it for you on an existing-site plan (from £95/month). If you need a new site, we build it and run it, and the frontend code transfers to you after your earn-out period. Doman Digital is the sister studio for fully bespoke builds: fixed project price, owned from day one, no subscription. The deciding question is whether you want your site built and managed monthly (IDS) or a one-off project owned day one at a project price (Doman Digital).
Do you build new websites?
Yes. We build new business sites on our managed stack from a niche template for your sector (Category B). No separate build fee: you pay your first month at signup, the site goes live within 5 UK business days, and the monthly plan covers everything else. The frontend code transfers to you after your earn-out period: 24 months on Growth, 18 on Scale, with an early buy-out option; Foundation is a service plan with no earn-out attached. For a fully bespoke build owned day one at a fixed project price, that sits with Doman Digital.
How soon can a plan start?
For a site you already own (an existing-site plan), Essentials and Plus typically start within a week; Pro needs a short onboarding window so we can connect the systems we will be running. For a new site we build (Category B), live within 5 UK business days of your content being submitted. The Site Health Check can start immediately.
Can I move up or down a tier later?
Yes. Tiers change at the start of the next billing month.
How do I cancel?
There is no minimum term. Email your named contact and your plan stops renewing; no further payments are taken after the current month. You keep access for the month you have already paid for, which is not refunded. There is no exit fee.
What is out of scope?
Major redesigns, brand-new features, and net-new pages that go beyond the monthly improvement allowance are end-dated pieces of work; they are quoted separately at the start. For a fully bespoke build with day-one ownership at a fixed project price, that is what Doman Digital exists for. The IDS subscription covers running, measuring, and improving the site that is in place.
